Carly arrived at Imagination in February 2012 as Editor. She is responsible for developing dynamic content for print and social media, bringing over eight years of food writing and editorial expertise.
Through a series of happy coincidences, she was lucky enough to turn her passion for food and creative writing into a full-time career. Carly arrived at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with intentions of becoming a food photographer, leaving with a degree in Journalism and local food column. Before coming to Imagination, Carly was known for praising local eats for publications like The Feast, Food & Wine, Saveur, MSNBC, The Atlantic, and has been a guest commentator on WBEZ and NBC Chicago.
After hours, Carly can be found refining her home brewing skills, baking delicious fattening things, biking around town, and watching Law and Order (not necessarily in that order).
