Chris Straehla
Chris joined the Imagination team as a design contractor in September 2009, and was brought on full-time as an associate art director in May 2010. He now designs print publications and the occasional web project.
Before moving to Chicago and joining Imagination, Chris attended Flagler College in Saint Augustine, Florida, where he earned his B.A. in Graphic Design. During his time at Flagler, Chris also studied other fine arts disciplines such as painting, screen printing and illustration as well as the occasional math and history class (as long as they didn’t interfere too much with his vigorous art schedule).
As a native of Florida, it was hard to leave the sunshine state behind, and in the end it took a fiancée starting medical school at Northwestern University to get him to go. Chris and his wife Joelle now reside in Streeterville where they enjoy extremely competitive games of Scrabble, Chicago deep-dish pizza (Lou Malnati’s FTW) and keeping their evil kitten Toby from destroying the known universe.
