Louis La Plante

Before Louis was hired at Imagination in late 2011, he discussed the nuances of the semi-colon with his soon-to-be boss, Cyndee Miller. Louis likes it; Cyndee does not. His courage to stand up for the semicolon is one reason he landed an editor position at the company.
His career before Imagination began at Nickelodeon. There, as an intern, Louis literally played games with his bosses as a test for TV shows. When one executive snapped a bungee cord at his hip, upper management feared lawsuit, and he earned a pitch meeting with the vice president who told Louis, “You should be a writer.”
After graduating from Xavier University, he returned to his hometown in Evansville, Ind. He worked his way up at a city lifestyle publication and earned writing awards, including one story about condoms. From children’s TV to contraceptives, no subject is out of his range.
