Rebecca Rolfes is a founder of Imagination Publishing and serves as executive vice president in charge of association publishing.

She is the author of The Competition Within: How Members Will Reinvent Associations, a book that examines the competitive forces impacting business-to-business associations.

Before joining Imagination, Rebecca was vice president of external relations for IEG, the nation’s leading event-marketing publisher and consulting company. She also was the head of communications for The Conference Board Europe in Brussels, Belgium, and a syndicated columnist for publications in the United States and Europe.

In the early 1980s, Rebecca was the managing editor of Creative Loafing, Atlanta’s largest weekly and its alternative newspaper. She also was a freelance writer for publications such as the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Ladies Home Journal.

Rebecca holds two bachelor’s degrees in English and French from the University of Kentucky, and a master’s degree in international policy from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She speaks four languages and is the mother of two adult children.
