Positions
Design
Creates original, unique designs and content for custom media to ensure that it meets a specific editorial mission. Participates in editorial and strategy meetings with editors and clients. Responsible for photo shoots, photo editing, layouts, assigning illustration and/or photography, supervising freelance designers, color correction and prepress files. May be involved in design and production of prototypes for new and exiting clients and in-house ads.
Digital Media
Develops, manages and implements rich media programming. Works with the internal and external clients to understand user needs, define program requirements and business objectives and functional and technical requirements. Manages program creation through delivery. Works closely with the client and and Digital Media team to ensure that rich media content is strategic, well-produced, and meets/exceeds the business objectives and project goals.
Manages technical development during projects with internal team members and clients, works within development plans, framework and administration as part of the project team. The position requires hands-on coding and programming of both front-end (CSS, XHTML) and back-end (database, interactive) websites.
Develops, manages and implements digital media strategies and business cases for customer engagement. Works with internal and external clients to understand user needs, define project requirements and business objectives, and functional and technical requirements. Manages client expectations and works closely with the Digital Media Group.
Assists the Senior Online Designer and Lead Developer with all web design and development responsibilities on a daily basis. Responsible for updating existing client websites, website testing and debugging, assists in development of new websites and participates in team critiques.
Manages digital media projects from proposal through delivery; ensures projects are on time, within budget and meet Imagination’s quality expectations. Works closely with the Sr. Media Producer. Helps to shape the functionality and technical requirements of each project based upon client schedule and budget requirements, resource skills and availability.
Leads Digital Media projects. Understands clients’ business and communication goals and translates them into creative solutions. Takes a hands-on role in leading ideation with team members. Provides art direction to other designers and works with producers and to implement designs into technology frameworks.
Works with a team in a dynamic, client-focused environment. Edits, produces and directs video projects according to Imagination’s quality process, and ensures that all content meets client objectives. Reports to the Broadcast Director, and works closely with the online publishing team.
Builds online communities using innovative marketing tactics; understands the value of web analytics in creating a successful web strategy. Communicates daily with our staff of designers and editors. Works directly with clients to understand their business, marketing and reporting requirements.
Editorial
Manages, services and grows a portfolio of accounts. Leads an internal group of creative resources to maintain the highest level of quality and customer service. Collaborates with other team leaders on innovative approaches to business development initiatives. Makes recommendations to clients based on detailed program performance metrics and analysis. Meets or exceeds revenue growth targets. Reports client status, progress and concerns to senior management.
Responsible for day-to-day supervision and management of a business group with a portfolio of accounts. Ensures that the creative team functions and runs smoothly, allowing the publisher to focus on growing new and existing business. Acts as a liaison between other internal groups or teams. Establishes and enforces measurable goals, removes obstacles, evaluates and monitors progress, and makes needed adjustments. Compiles reports for and attends weekly and monthly team meetings.
Maintains schedules for one or more publishing/marketing programs and ensures all deliverables and deadlines are met. Edits all manuscripts and layouts for grammar, tone, voice, content and consistency. May also write and research articles. Maintains positive relationships with clients, and may brainstorm new ways to increase revenue and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients.
Develops, manages and implements the editorial mission of custom media programs that may include print and digital components such as: magazines, supplements, advertorials, inserts, DVDs, websites, webinars, podcasts, etc. Functions as the primary client contact and collaborates with internal teams to ensure the program aligns with the client’s branding and strategy. Creates thought-provoking content that advances the client’s strategic objectives. Generates storylines and makes assignments to freelancers as necessary.
Writes, edits and manages printed and digital content according to Imagination’s quality process, ensuring that all content meets the client’s objectives on a consistent basis. Content may include features, white papers, podcasts, case studies and more. Generates storylines, plans editorial strategy and helps to manage and shepherd all content through Imagination’s quality process. Works closely with the editorial and digital media teams.
Verifies all information in manuscripts, ensures the accuracy of quotes, titles and names of sources. Speaks with several sources on a daily basis, rewrites attributed information if it is not reflective of the source. Works closely with editors and associate publishers.
Operations
Provides leadership and coordination of marketing and communications functions that serve to increase awareness of Imagination with target audiences. Positions Imagination as a nationally recognized, leading interactive marketing agency.
Creates fresh, innovative thinking that turns prospects into new clients. Sets and meets goals, ensures competitive positioning, identifies potential clients and sells/closes custom media and marketing plans through a strategic presentation. Works closely with management team and has a complete understanding of Imagination’s market position.
Manages operational staff. Serves as liaison to building management and outside vendors. Manages equipment including telecommunications, networking, and workspaces. Orders collateral and office furniture.
Coordinates schedules and paginations for all print collateral. Functions as the primary contact with printers and prepress house. Coordinates, collects and tracks ads for all print collateral. Works with billing and new business development to generate proposals for current and prospective clients.
Assesses each program and recommends and executes a unique measurement strategy that is articulated, presented and incorporated into each client’s marketing strategy. Oversees the tabulation of data and conducts data analysis for regular reports to the Imagination and client teams. Stays abreast of industry trends in the publishing, marketing, and advertising disciplines.
