Storytelling
Posted by Bud Caddell on June 18, 2008
People love stories. Perhaps it was all those overly violent bed time tales Mom told us, but we’re hooked on a good narrative. Marketers know this–I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know.
The deli down the corner has a story, so does my dry-cleaner, my bank, my coffee shop, my favorite restaurant, the company that made my pants… well, you get the picture.
None of those stories involve me.
How about the story of your first customer? How about the story of your last customer? We’re living in a world of scale, but it’s our job to protect our customers from that scale, to make them feel like our first and only customer.
While you craft your brilliant comments, take a moment to read about a truly interactive story-telling experience).
